About Krono Original® Laminate
Krono Original® Laminate flooring usually is made from high-density fiber or wood particles, with a laminate overlay that is designed to look like wood or stone. A clear, hard layer is placed on top, giving the laminate floor its durability.
The general composition of laminate is composed of three layers. The base layer of laminate is an impermeable, layer underneath the base that improves its structural stability and serves as a moisture barrier. The thick, middle layer is a wooden composite base.
The topmost layer of laminate flooring is the wearing surface and the decorative layer that, depending on the production process, can consist of several layers. It consists of a special resin-treated cellulose and gives the floor a tough, durable surface and makes it visually attractive.
Krono Original® places the emphasis, above all, on achieving a natural look in the production of laminate flooring. Intensive colouring, natural-looking surface structures, unique brilliance and a feel like real wood make this laminate really stand out.
About Swiss Krono
When it comes to flooring, how it looks is only half the battle, as the laminate is still frequently exposed to mechanical stress on a daily basis. Furniture and other objects of various weights that are yet to have found a permanent home are put on it, walking boots tread over the surface countless times, and dirt can penetrate the structure. The result is subtle, but can be obvious and disruptive over time: scratches, dents and chippings must be replaced, which can prove costly.
This is why our wood flooring is fitted with a scratch-resistant, robust protective film that protects laminate floors against mechanical damage. Depending on the version, it comes complete with the wear resistance category AC3/31, AC4/32 or even the highest robustness specification AC5/33 for areas that are subject to wear.
Even the underside of the laminate has a high level of workmanship in the form of a compact, fine film that protects the wood core against damp and ensures that the laminate stays dimensionally stable.
Krono Original® focuses on naturalness in the development of its products: our laminate flooring is manufactured from high quality materials and consists of more than 90 per cent wood. The Krono Original® designers pay attention to the smallest details in order to underline the multifaceted effect of the laminate flooring.
Krono Original® decors for laminate flooring are characterised by their brilliant colour shades, true-to-nature surface structures and their special lustre. We achieve all this by creating a realistic replication of real hardwood.
Our quality glueless laminate floors use joining mechanisms which hold the planks together under constant tension which prevent dirt entering the joints and do not need “tapping” back together periodically, unlike inferior glueless laminate floors which may gradually become separated, creating visible gaps between planks.
Especially on the surface, the differences between inferior laminate flooring and the high quality laminate from Krono Original® become clear. Our laminate floor feels comfortable and demonstrates a natural-looking structure.
High-quality wood is the basic material for SWISS KRONO laminate floors. Our innovative laminate technology ensures stylish flooring covers that leave nothing to be desired in terms of care, resistance and indoor climate. This technology is based on high-density fibreboards, which are enhanced by an attractive decorative paper and an authentic surface structure.
With almost 20 different laminate collections, we offer the full range of visual options. From natural wood designs with boards and versions with a tile look right through to models with synchro pores for original texture, our range offers everything you could possibly want or need.
